Leona Wilson has more than 20 years experience as an international hair design specialist. In this highly competitive industry, she specializes in multi-ethnic hair care and stands out for her uniquely diverse design and styling skills. As a New York City industry insider, Leona is widely regarded as “The stylist that maintains the image of the image makers”.



A native of Barbados, Leona began her career in 1998 as an assistant at Peter Coppola, one of New York's premier exclusive, luxury salons on Madison Avenue. There, she assisted Celebrity Stylists River Lloyd and Kevin Mancuso. Three years later, she became a top stylist at Peter Coppola, providing styling services to celebrities and elite executives.

Leona is currently focused on promoting her brand across a multimedia platform. She has launched her own luxury salon, located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, a few steps from the prestigious shops of Fifth Avenue, the Diamond District and Bryant Park. At LW Salon, Leona will continue to provide exceptional styling services to existing client friends and welcome new ones into her “Guilt-free Zone of Pure Getting Gorgeous”.

 

Leona's work has been featured on both reality and daytime television, including makeovers for The Wendy Williams Show.  Her clients included: Julianna Margulies (The Good Wife - CBS); Trish McEvoy (Trish McEvoy Cosmetics); Adrianna Lima (Victoria’s Secret Model); Eva Marcille (the third cycle of America’s Next Top Model); Dawn Baskerville (former executive editor, Essence); Lisa Robinson (entertainment editor, Vanity Fair); and Pat Malone (former president, Gucci).
